Palak Chilla Recipe | Spinach Cheela | Palak Cheela with step-by-step photo and video recipe. Morning breakfast is an important meal of the day and has to be a healthy and nutritious meal. There are many traditional super recipes that do satisfy those criteria but may be time-consuming and super long processes to prepare. But there are certain simple and instant recipes that offer all those features and the palak chilla recipe is one such super healthy recipe.

I am a big fan of instant and healthy recipes and I guess it is obvious through my website blog. Having said that, most of my instant healthy recipes are South Indian. Basically, the ratio is not balanced when compared to North Indian meals. To fix this, I am sharing a simple and healthy North Indian cheela recipe, with a twist. In other words, I have chosen the traditional healthy recipe and loaded with leafy spinach toppings. Also, in addition to the besan or chickpea flour, I have also added rava or semolina which should help to make it more thick and firm. Do try this variation and I am certain that you would like it and include it in your day-to-day breakfast or even lunch and dinner meal.

Palak Chilla Recipe | Spinach Cheela (2)Furthermore, some more related and additional tips, suggestions, and variations to the palak chilla recipe. Firstly, this recipe is basically an extension of the traditional cheela recipe with the addition of spinach leaves. So in other words, you may further extend it by adding other veggies and leafy vegetables as you wish. Secondly, the addition of rava or semolina helps to make this cheela more firm and thick. If you like a soft and thin cheela you may totally skip it. Lastly, it is always better to serve this cheela immediately and not to rest them. When rested it loses its stiffness and also the crunchiness and may not be ideal to serve and taste.
