This position supports the planning, development, and implementation of all strategies which result in the maximization of profitable revenues realized by the resort.All revenue segments are included in the scope of responsibilities.Success is determined through continuous improvement in our revenue performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and accurately generate, process, and update Revenue Management reports for daily meetings, weekly strategy discussions, property operational requirements, or as needed for ad hoc analyses.
• Perform Revenue Management month end reporting and auditing and provide forward looking information for the purposes of forecasting, targeting need areas, and balancing financial expectations.
• Auditing of availability, rates and inventory through all distribution points including CRS (Switchfly), OTAs, Wholesale / Tour Operators, and Global Distribution Systems (GDS)
• Competitive Benchmarking - Research market best practices within the hotel’s competitive set to safeguard opportunities that will develop and expand revenue.Identify and communicate promotions in the market and other product development or innovations in the industry.
• Forecast - Track revenue potential and outcomes based on what is already booked and what promotional plans may impact future volumes; provide suggested forecasts and support modeling of scenarios.
• Assist in development of department peer members’ knowledge and skills through cross training and development of supportive job aids and/or SOPs.
• In partnership with the Revenue Management Distribution team, communicate all information in reference to inventory, rates, packages, restrictions, close out dates, etc. to all distribution channels.
• In partnership with the Revenue Management Marketing team, revise and inform all constituents regarding features on new rates prior to deployment.
• In partnership with the Revenue Management Inventory team, manage, updates and maintenance of blocks and room availability.
• Provide support as needed to the Revenue Management team in special projects.

Position Requirements:

• This position is in an office environment.
• 1-3 years hotel experience preferred; pricing/inventory/selling revenue management experience strongly preferred. Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required.
• Prior experience with PMS, RMS, CRS and GDS desirable (especially LMS, Rainmaker, IDeaS, HBSi, SynXsis preferred) and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office; advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel recommended.
• Must effectively manage and adhere to strict daily/weekly/monthly deadlines.
• Professional capacity to interact with team members at all levels of the organization.
• Ability to operate in a team environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated maturity.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities at once.
