Now, it’s about to wrap up with perhaps the most anticipated Final Four in the event’s history.

The Final Four of the 2024 NCAA Tournament tips off Friday with a pair of national semifinal games that will feature top overall seed South Carolina against 3 seed NC State and 1 seed Iowa against 3 seed UConn. It will conclude Sunday with the national championship game.
The event will feature no shortage of star power and headlines. South Carolina, led by reigning three-time national coach of the year Dawn Staley, will look to become the first undefeated Division I women’s basketball champion since 2016. Clark, the all-time leading career scorer at the Division I level, is seeking to guide Iowa to its first-ever national championship after it fell in the NCAA title game a year ago.

Elsewhere, UConn, led by first-team all-American Paige Bueckers and coach Geno Auriemma, will try to win its record 12th championship and its first since 2016. NC State, appearing in just its second-ever Final Four, will aim to win its first title.

What channel is the women’s Final Four on?

Both women’s Final Four games will air on ESPN. Ryan Ruocco (play-by-play) and Basketball Hall of Famer Rebecca Lobo (analyst) will be on the call while Holly Rowe will serve as the sideline reporter.
Streaming options for the games include the ESPN app and Fubo, the latter of which offers a free trial to potential subscribers.
In addition to the traditional broadcast, ESPN will also carry "The Bird & Taurasi Show" featuring women’s basketball legends Sue Bird and Diana Taurasi, who will provide live commentary of the game. That show will be available on ESPN2 and ESPN+ for the semifinal games.

Both semifinal games will take place on Friday, March 5. The matchup between South Carolina and NC State will tip off at 7 p.m. ET while Iowa and UConn are scheduled to begin at 9 p.m. ET, though the latter of those two games will almost certainly start later as the typical college basketball game takes two hours to complete.

The 2024 NCAA women’s Final Four will be held at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland, home of the NBA’s Cleveland Cavaliers. This year marks the second time the women’s Final Four has been held in northeast Ohio and the first time it has been there since 2007, when Tennessee defeated Rutgers in the national championship to give coach Pat Summitt the penultimate title of her legendary career.

Who won the national championship in 2023?
LSU won the national championship in 2023, defeating Iowa 102-85 in the title game. The championship was the Tigers’ first in program history. Reese was named the tournament’s most outstanding player after scoring 15 points and pulling down 10 rebounds in the championship game.
