AZUSA, CA – A weekend of four meets in three days for the Jackrabbits concluded on Saturday in a flurry of personal best performances and top finishes in both California and South Dakota.

BRYAN CLAY INVITATIONAL
Five new entries into the SDSU Top 10 List came from Azusa, starting with the men's 4x100-meter squad. Drew Olson, Jake Werner, Carter Toews and Evan Henderson won heat three to finish eighth overall.

This squad has now run this exact time in back-to-back weekends to maintain eighth in school history.

The women's 4x100-meter relay team of Brielle Dixon, Savannah Risseeuw, Maggie Madsen and Jaiden Boomsma ran a 46.28 for third in heat three and 16th overall. Their time is also now sixth on the All-Time List.

Werner added another list appearance under his belt, taking in heat eight of the 200-meter dash and 25th overall in 21.51 seconds. His time is now 10th in SDSU history.

Claire Beckman became the newest member of the women's 1500-meter Top 10 club, running a 4:29.77 for 66th in the event and ninth in school history.

Brandon Kampsen joined history in the men's 1500-meter run, clocking a time of 3:46.00 to finish in 10th overall and now sits seventh on the All-Time List.

Boomsma sped into first place of heat five in the 100-meter dash, finished 26th overall in 12.04 seconds.

Risseeuw finished second in heat three and ninth overall in the 100-meter hurdles after clocking a 13.94, just .02 seconds off her personal best. Dixon came fifth in heat two and 14th overall in 14.03 seconds.

Risseeuw also took fourth in heat six (36th overall) of the 400-meter hurdles with a 1:03.25 as Laura Bogue finished seventh in heat seven (52nd overall) in 1:05.43.

In the Open B men's 1500-meter run, Jackson Dutcher took sixth overall with his new personal best time of 3:49.87 as Will Lohr clocked a PR of 3:51.09 for 23rd place and Josh Becker finished 88th in 3:55.40.

The women's 4x400-meter relay squad took fifth in heat two (and 22nd overall) with a clocking of 3:53.29.

James Pierce clocked a PR of 48.18 in the 400-meter dash for third in heat six (33rd overall) as Thailan Hallman finished sixth in heat five (44th overall) with a 48.63.

The men's 4x400-meter relay team ran a 3:20.82 for sixth in heat two and a 16th place overall finish.

SOUTH DAKOTA CHALLENGE
Down south in Vermillion, Katelyn Darnell took ninth in the 100-meter hurdles, running a 15.81.

Rich-Ann Archer won the 200-meter dash in 24.60 seconds as Emily Rystrom clocked a PR of 25.18 for third place, Cora Shull took 11th with a 26.58 and Ava Steffen made her event debut in 26.95 for 20th.

Rystrom then went on to finish sixth in the 400-meter dash with a 58.41 while Abby Hughes took sixth in the 400-meter hurdles, running a time of 1:07.08.

Hannah Spoden clocked a 2:19.51 for third place in the 800-meter run, followed closely behind by Emily Plucker (2:21.35, PR) and Selma Dingmann (2:26.45).

Taylor Jochum took third in the high jump with her height of 5-04.50 as Hadley Carlson and Robyn Dayton each tied for eighth with a 5-00.50.

Camryn Brinkman led the way for SDSU in the triple jump, marking a 37-09.25 for sixth place. Apryl Adderley followed behind in eighth with a 36-07.50 and Emma Smith was 14th with a 34-04.50.

Ryann Moline finished as runner-up in the javelin throw with a PR of 121-09.00 with Taylor Haring in eighth after throwing a 95-05.00. Darnell marked an 82-09.00 for 11th and Dayton threw a personal best of 80-02.00 for 12th place.

All three competitors in the women's hammer throw, earned new personal bests, led by Josie Curry (10th, 154-01.00). Kirsten Kilker (149-11.00) was 13th and Lydia Hill (137-10.00) came 16th.

Kaitlynn Bot finished ninth in the women's shot put with a mark of 39-08.00 and Curry threw a 37-06.50 for 14th.

On the men's side of action, Ben Morningstar was seventh in the 110-meter hurdles after running a 15.20.

Jeremiah Donahoe claimed runner-up in the 400-meter hurdles, running a 55.23, as Gunnar Gunderson took fourth in a personal best 55.93.

Sam Castle clocked a 51.57 in the 400-meter dash to take eighth overall.

Sean Murphy led the way in the 800-meter run, clocking a 1:56.38 for fourth place. Luke Johnson finished ninth in a time of 1:59.36 and Tyler O'Neill crossed the finish line in a personal best 2:00.28 for 12th place.

In the men's pole vault, Ryan Karajanis finished seventh with a new personal best height 15-06.25.

Ryan Hackbart competed in two throws events, taking 16th in the hammer throw (142-03.00) and sixth in the discus (148-11.00).

The men's 4x400-meter relay team clocked a time of 3:29.75 as the women's squad finished sixth in 4:20.89.

BEACH INVITATIONAL
Over in Long Beach, Harley Fischer clocked a 2:17.12 for second in heat four of the 800-meter run and 16th overall.

Madison Kizer tied her outdoor PR of 5-07.25 in the high jump to tie for fourth overall as Layne Kirkendoll finished tied for 19th with a 5-03.25.

Milee Young threw a 157-11.00 for 19th overall in the women's discus throw.

Tristen Hanna finished 21st overall in the men's triple jump with his mark of 46-06.25 while over in the high jump, Connor Powers tied for 17th with his height of 6-05.00

Lee Reiser finished 43rd overall (fourth in heat three) of the shot put with his mark of 50-10.00.

Ethan Fischer took 25th overall in the discus throw with a mark of 172-05.00 as Caiden Fredrick threw a 166-01.00 for a 44th place finish.

UP NEXT: On April 18 and 19, SDSU will head north to compete in Fargo at the Bison Open.
