Skinny Puppy - Parturn Mythmaker, their new album came out yesterday and this is the best track so far on my first spin! It' s more like Download (with twisted beats and atmospherics) than their oHGr-y sounding last album. The album sounds different again, although there is over reliance on vocoders (so it does still sound somewhat oHGr). They' ve returned to more punishing beats and there' s some incredible bass lines, but they' ve kept the trademark melodic moments. Not any real innovation, however there' s some of the best elements from all their albums over the years on this one. It' s the 14th Skinny Puppy album in my collection so I' m kinda biased when I say THEY RULE!!!!!!!!!! ***flyingsaucersdisguisedasmushrooms***

Flathead - The Fratellis Edit: As a side note, I just want to throw this out there, because there' s no better room for ranting. Don' t you just hate it when one of your favorite songs gets on an ad & nobody will shut up about it? Y' know? Sometimes they even screw up the words. It just makes me want to punch somebody square in the mouth. PostEdit: I should probably mention my source of anger. Flathead, by the Fratellis has been playing in the latest iTunes ad for the past week or so. God I hate people.[:' (]

I just finished listening (several times) to a wicked metal arrangement for the old TurboGrafx-16/PC Engine game called Devil' s Crush. You EU people didn' t get much Turbo love there, but you might know the game on the Mega Drive by the same name or maybe Dragon' s Fury.
