Job Description SummaryThis position is necessary to support the Procurement function. The Procurement Operations Consultant assists with and guides the processes that procure products, supplies and services for all OhioHealth Hospitals, Free Standing Emergency Departments, Medical Campuses, Urgent Care, OhioHealth Physician Group (OPG), OhioHealth at Home, Hospice and all corporate entities. This position is needed to ensure that all vendor transactions accurately reflect clinical and cost accounting requirements, align with preferred and contracted suppliers and are timely in providing critical patient care supplies. The Procurement Operations Consultant is accountable for the oversight of approximately 1M purchase order lines, and 4500 vendors.
Minimum QualificationsHigh School or GED (Required)
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGEBachelor’s Degree, 3 years of experience in a procurement department or 5-7 years of experience in an analytical, service-based role with exposure to Procure to Pay processes. Previous experience serving as a team lead or informal leader assisting with workload balance among team members. Ability to quickly learn and become subject matter expert to assist and train procurement associates.
Must have advanced skills in Microsoft products including Outlook, Calendar, Teams, OneNote, Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Experience with Cisco Jabber and WebEx or similar tools. Excellent written and verbal communication, analytical and problem resolution skills. Prior remote work experience with proven productivity and the ability to develop key working relationships without face to face meetings. The ability to work electronically and ‘paper-lite’. Workday ERP for Supply Chain, training skills, experience sourcing clinical and non-clinical services and supplies, Experience with or knowledge of accounts payable, contracting, inventory, data integrity and receiving processes, and a solid understanding of the procurement to pay cycle and methodologies.
