Adaptation behaviour is about more than just risks ☂️☂️ A recent report by thePBL Planbureau voor de Leefomgeving (Netherlands Environmental Assessment Agency), titled “Climate Risks in the Netherlands: The current state of affairs”, recognizes the urgency to adapt to climate change as its effects are already being felt in the Netherlands:https://lnkd.in/gAg8se5k☂️ While the report identifies behaviour change as relevant to preventing different#climatechange risks, its importance is not explicitly identified within the overall #adaptation strategy. ☂️ Read this blog post by our colleague Anne van Valkengoed to hear about why providing people with so many options for ways to adapt for better health outcomes can actually be a double-edged sword:https://lnkd.in/etAMXgwa☂️ Want to hear more from Anne on this topic? She’ll be one of the speakers during a session on getting people more involved in climate adaptive behaviour during the National Climate Adaptation Conference (organised by Ministerie van Infrastructuur en Waterstaat and Provincie Utrecht) on 17 June. ☂️ The conference, which will be in Dutch, is the largest event focused on climate adaptation in the Netherlands and will be held at NBC Congrescentrum, Blokhoeve 1, Nieuwegein. 💡Energy citizenship is about the rights and responsibilities of every citizen to actively participate in the #energytransition. It empowers you to contribute to a more sustainable future by working together in energy communities and local initiatives.💡 Our colleague Fleur Goedkoop (Faculty of Behavioural and Social Sciences - University of Groningen) worked together with Buurkracht's Djoera Eerland on the European EC² project for the past three years to research the role of energy citizenship in a just and sustainable energy transition. Read more about it here!
